Large Round Cachepot ''Fish Bowl'' - Large Round Cachepot ''Fish Bowl'' China, 20th century. Porcelain, yellow ground, polychrome decorated, glazed. The body with a depiction of a dragon and floral motifs, inside with goldfish decor. H. 40.5 cm, D. 47 cm. Very good condition. A Chinese porcelain cachepot or fishbowl is primarily a decorative planter. It is used to hold potted plants and decorate a room with its painted porcelain surface. Historically, large specimens were also used for keeping ornamental fish.
