The sheet is loose. Foxing. Soiled. The sheet was published as an annual gift by the Kestner-Gesellschaft Hannover. Damke studied painting at the Hochschule für bildende Künste in Berlin from 1959-63. Via collage, he moved to serial compositions in the 60s/70s. In the 80s/90s, monochrome color fields and collaged forms dominated. In 1979, Damke became a visiting professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts at Helwan University in Cairo. From 1972-2004, he was a professor at Münster University of Applied Sciences in the Department of Design.
