Cara Popescu Orange Marble Serpent Sculpture
Cara Popescu (German-Canadian, 1924 - 1990) daughter of composer Reinhard Schwarz-Schilling, hand carved orange marble sculpture titled Serpent, for a biography of the artist see Vie des Arts, Volume 25, Number 102, Spring 1981 (available on line). Purchased in 1990 from Kastel Gallery, Montreal. 24 inches H x 11.5 W x 11 deep, sculpture measures 20 inches H.
