Japanese Samurai long katana Shyoumayou NBTHK Muromachi - Antique Japanese samurai long katana from the Muromachi period, unsigned but attributed to Sekisyu Shyoumayou by NBTHK papers. The blade is about 450-500 years old. It is in very good condition, but it has some stains and blemishes. The fuchi/kashira have gold inserts, the tsuka or handle is in very good condition and very tight. A very nice piece of collection in overall good condition. Comes with a silk bag. No stand included.. Blade length is 26.7 inches or 67.9 cm. Saya or sheath is 29 inches in length. Saya is in very good condition with some scratches and loss of lacquer.
