Inuit Soapstone Serpentine Carving, Kneeling Figure sculpture - A small Inuit carving of a kneeling figure in dark serpentine, with hooded parka and incised facial features. Retains the original Canadian Eskimo Art igloo tag to the underside. The base is further inscribed with the number “512563” (possibly read as E12-563), which may represent either a gallery or co-op inventory code; no confirmed artist attribution has been established. Height: 3.75 in. (9.5 cm). Provenance: Private Canadian Inuit Collection; with Eskimo Art igloo tag. Condition: Minor surface wear and scratches consistent with age.
