Signed Inuit Stone Carving, Hunter Figure with Raised Arm - Stone carving, Inuit, signed in syllabics beneath. The figure depicts a kneeling hunter in traditional parka, one arm raised, the other with a leather thong attachment suggesting the original presence of a tool or accessory. Carved from mottled green stone with a matte finish, the face and hood crisply defined. Height: 6 in. (15 cm). Condition: Minor wear to surfaces, light scratches consistent with handling; leather strip intact though dry; tool/weapon missing from hand. Provenance: From a Canadian collection; underside inscribed with Inuit syllabics.
