Signed Inuit Soapstone Figure of a Bird, mid-20th century - Carved stone Inuit sculpture depicting a simplified bird form with rounded body and short legs, the features minimally incised to suggest eyes and beak. The stone has a mottled green-grey coloration with natural veining and surface inclusions. Signed underside with incised syllabics/initials (partially legible). Likely mid-20th century work, from the Eastern Arctic. Size: Approx. 2.5 in.
