Inuit stone carving “Man and Child” face sculpture by Nuleahyoak Lena - Nuleahyoak Lena (sometimes written Nuliajuk or Nuleayuk, spelling can vary with transcription) from Spence Bay (today Taloyoak, Nunavut) with tag dating ot approximately mid-20th century, likely 1960s–70s, when the Spence Bay co-op was producing and tagging works. Carved from dark soapstone, mounted on a stone plinth, Stylized double human heads (“Man + Child face”) carved in low relief. Approx. 2–3 inches high. Tag: Original Spence Bay Co-op circular tag, with inventory number (#1692), provenance note “Spence Bay, Pro” (Northwest Territories at the time).
