Traditional Inuit seal-oil lamp wick holder (qulliq wick trimmer/holder) - The tube is carved with remnants of sinew and hide wrapping at the ends. It was used to hold and adjust the moss or wick in a qulliq (the traditional Inuit oil lamp carved from soapstone). The qulliq was the primary source of light and heat in igloos and tents. Sinew and hide are intact. Approx. 6 inches L in total.
