Includes WFUNA compliments card and original press release announcing Oonark’s commission, highlighting her prominence as a leading Inuit artist. Canadian Inuit Travel Stamp Series, 1978 - Two covers addressed to Robert Schoeler, each franked with full sets of Inuit-themed 14 cent stamps featuring works by Abraham Kingmeatok, Joe Talirunili, Pitseolak Ashoona, and Pudlo Pudlat, with Ottawa cancellations dated Sept. 27, 1978. Accompanied by Canadian Eskimo Arts Council document describing the works and artists. Additional UN First Day Covers, including “World Population Year” (1974) and “Law of the Sea” (1974), with cachet designs referencing Inuit/First Nations motifs.
