Leo Yerxa (1947–2017), Of Indian Women (Set of Four Prints), Lithographs, ca. 1970s - A complete portfolio of four lithographs by Leo Yerxa, the noted Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) artist, illustrator, and Governor General’s Award winner. The suite titled Of Indian Women comprises four sensitive depictions of Indigenous women engaged in daily life: Woman Carrying Water, Grandmother, Washing Clothes, and Resting. Each work is hand-signed by the artist in pencil, with titles inscribed beneath the images. Dimensions: each approx. 18 x 18 in (45.7 x 45.7 cm) Edition: from the portfolio Of Indian Women (unsigned edition size unknown). Condition: Prints in very good condition with strong impressions; some minor toning and handling consistent with age. Presented loose within the original yellow paper folder, signed by the artist.
