Japanese Satsuma Ware, Three-Piece Lot (Plate & Bowls), c. 1910-1930 - Japanese Satsuma Ware Three-Piece Lot Japan, Taisho-Early Showa Period (circa 1910-1930) Diameters: 10 in, 5 in, and 3.5 in A group of three finely decorated Japanese Satsuma-style pieces, comprising: One large plate (10 in) richly painted with court figures before a landscape with Mt. Fuji, surrounded by a chrysanthemum and mythical lion border in raised polychrome and gilt. One small bowl (5 in) with black interior ground, depicting the Seven Lucky Gods (Shichifukujin) in vivid gilt and brocade patterns. One miniature bowl (3.5 in) with elaborate gilt and enamel decoration. Each piece displays the characteristic ivory crackled glaze, dense gilt ornamentation, and export labels (”Made in Japan”) associated with Kyoto-Yokohama export workshops of the early 20th century. Condition: Light wear to gilt as expected; overall good condition.
