The sculpture depicts the historic Buddha Shakyamuni, featuring a gentle, smiling expression, heavy-lidded eyes, and an ushnisha (cranial protuberance) covered in tight curls. The sculpture features closed eyes and a gentle expression, intended to bring calm and serenity.  The piece is mounted on a modern, stepped black display base. It exhibits minor blemishes and wear consistent with its significant age. The bust measures 12 inches H x 7 W, mounted on black stepped base, measuring 18 inches H x 9 W.
