Antique Chinese Silver Octagonal Box, Repousse Floral Decoration - An octagonal Chinese silver box of substantial gauge, finely worked in repoussé and chased decoration throughout. The lid is densely ornamented with flowering branches and stylized blossoms set against a textured ground, framed by a faceted border. The sides are divided into panels, each similarly decorated with floral motifs in relief, separated by crisp vertical edges that emphasize the geometric form. The interior is plain and unadorned.
