Marked on underside, Desimone Artist: Giovanni De Simone (1930-1991), who founded a pottery studio in Palermo, Italy, in the 1960s.  Style: Hand-painted in bold red, blue, yellow, and lavender colour palette inspired by traditional Sicilian art and Picasso's cubist style.  Form: A white-slipped, reddish-tan clay jug with a sturdy handle and colorful portraits on the body.  Measuring 8.25 inches H x 6 W.
