With photograph of Sir Jacob Epstein sculpting the bust with Dr. Strean sitting to the right. Signed on back.  Dimensions: 13 inches H x 9.5 W x 11 deep, 18 inches H including black marble base. Jacob Epstein was one of the 20th century's most influential sculptors. Epstein was famous for his rough-textured, psychologically penetrating portrait busts of notable figures. Dr. Strean was a key figure in the Montreal medical community, particularly known for his work at the Jewish General Hospital.
