While often attributed to a single artist, Marc Aldine was used by Antoine Bouvard (1870-1956) and his son Noel Georges Bouvard (1912-1975). The family was renowned for romantic, light-filled Venetian vistas, which blend academic precision with an impressionistic sense of light and atmosphere. Condition: Repair to canvas, as shown.
