Japanese Muromachi Period Sasaho Yari in Shirasaya Kanetaka - A Muromachi Period Yari in Shirasaya Sasaho form, (young bamboo-leaf spear) featuring a wide, symmetrical, curved leaf-shaped blade. Signature : Kanetaka Sue-Koto: Ryosaku: Mino The blade was polished. Blade length: 17. 17.6cm or 6. 93 inches. Sori: 0cm or 0 inches. Mekugi : 1 Width at the hamachi : 2. 9cm or 1.14 inches. Kasane: 0.8cm or 0.32 inches. Era: Late Muromachi period, Tenbun period 1532 Shape: Sasaho yari. Rare shape. Jitetsu :Koitame hada with mixture of Mokume hada. Hamon: Nie base gunome mix. Kanetaka is a sword smith from Miho province. He is said to be the son of Kanekuni of Sanami school. This piece has slightly loose hada but it is not serious.
