Circumcision Knife with Silver and Agate Handle – Presumably Germany, 18th/19th Century - Circumcision knife. [Presumably Germany or environs, late 18th or early 19th century]. Silver (unmarked); steel; polished agate. The handle (hilt) is crafted from faceted, polished agate, set into a cylindrical silver mount with scalloped edges. The silver is engraved with the name of the owner, “Leibel bar Yitzchak” , and the Hebrew acronym for the verse “Ezri Me’Im Hashem Oseh Shamayim Va’Aretz” (Psalms 121:2). Length: 16.5 cm. Max. width: 2 cm. Overall good condition. Minor flaws to the steel blade.
