Michel Fingesten (1883-1943) - Portfolio with a dozen engravings by Michel Fingesten, 1932. Michel Fingesten (1883-1943), a Czeck-Jewish painter and graphic designer, lived and worked in Berlin. After the rise of the Nazi party to power he fled to Italy, where he was imprisoned in a concentration camp. Fingesten died several days after the liberation of the camp by the British army. All of the engravings are signed in pencil and numbered 10/50. [12] engravings, average size 24X14 cm. Good condition. Some stains, tears to portfolio.
