Miniature Gold and Enamel Case for Esther Scroll – Israel, 20th Century - Case for Esther scroll. [Israel, second half of 20th century]. 14-karat gold (marked with Israeli fineness mark), filigree; enamel; print on paper. Miniature Esther scroll, printed on paper, and housed inside a gold-thread case surmounted by a crown-shaped ornament and a suspension ring. On the front of case is set a Star of David adorned in blue enamel, framing the Hebrew word ”Zion”. Height: 9 cm. Maximal width: 2 cm. Weight: 22 g. Good condition. Minor tear to leading edge of scroll. Pull bar detached.
