Tikun Sofrim with Haftarot – Amsterdam, 1726 – Illustrated Title Pages, With Engravings by Bernard Picart – Fine Copy in Elaborate Original Leather Binding, Adorned with Silver Clasps - Tikun Sofrim, year-round Torah portions and haftarot. Amsterdam: for Cantor Shmuel Rodrigues Mendes, Moshe Tzarfati and David Gomes da Silva, 1726. Elaborate copy in original leather binding, with gilt decorations on both sides and spine, and adorned with silver clasps. Title pages illustrated with copper engravings by Bernard Picart. Divisional title page for haftarot. Includes chart of Torah readings for the festivals, and charts in Spanish (folding leaves), with divisional title page in Hebrew and Spanish. After the haftarot section are bound two leaves which usually appear at the beginning of the volume, with approbation and chart of double Torah portions. Dedication on endpaper (in German), dated January 30, 1926, from ”Tante Jen[ny] und Onkel Emil”. [9], 3-327, [2], 329-446, [6] leaves; [3] folding leaves with charts, 9-16 pages, [2] leaves. [2] leaves originally bound at beginning of book are bound after haftarot section. 17.5 cm. Light, high-quality paper. Gauffered gilt edges. Stains. Original leather binding, with clasps.
