Fine original leather binding, with gilt decorations to both sides of binding and spine. The book comprises 405 responsa by the Rashba, known as Part II of Responsa of the Rashba. This part was not available to leading poskim such as the Beit Yosef, the Sma, the Shach and the Taz. The Knesset HaGedolah does not mention this part in Mahadura Kama of his book, and begins referring to it only in Mahadura Batra. Signature on title page: ”Yaakov de Pinto” [a rabbi and official of the Hague community in the 19th century]. 8; 104 leaves. 28.5 cm. Thick, high-quality paper. Most leaves in good condition. Stains, including dark ink stains in several places, affecting text. Small open tear to one leaf, slightly affecting text. Light worming. Original leather binding. Wear, worming and defects to binding. Bookplate of Mozes Heiman Gans. One of the first Hebrew books printed in Livorno.
