Poland, Galicia, Lithuania, Russia and various countries in Eastern Europe. Ca. 1870s-1930s. The collection includes: • Letter to R. Moshe Mordechai Epstein regarding Nes Tzionah (a secret society founded in the Volozhin yeshiva and dissolved by the Russian authorities in 1889). The letter is heavily allusive and makes use of internal codes of the society. Iyar 1889. • Confirmation of divorce, handwritten and signed by R. Efraim Shlomo Zalman Weingott Rabbi of Lipno – on a photograph depicting the divorced husband. Lipno, Cheshvan 1910. R. Efraim Shlomo Zalman Weingott (1844-1912), son of R.
