Pair of Modernist Torah Finials – Germany, First Decades of 20th Century - Pair of Torah finials. Germany, first decades of 20th century. Silver, sawed and turned (German standard mark, 925, crown and moon, and unidentified maker's mark, ligature of ”FE” or ”AE”). Tall, wide pair of Torah finials, designed in modernist style, with Art Deco motifs. Graduated, wide and hollow, decorated with rectangles of various sizes and eight long rectangular plates stylized as pillars, with matching decorations. Each finial contains bells suspended from four hooked hangers, with a Star of David ornament at the top of each. Height: 33 cm. Maximal width: 10.5 cm. Weight: 1380 g. Overall good condition. Warping.
