A Collection of Antique Folding Boxwood Rulers by John Rabone & Sons and Stanley - This lot comprises a collection of several antique or vintage folding rulers. Primarily crafted from aged wood, each ruler is identified by a ”WARRANTED BOXWOOD” inscription and fitted with brass hinges and hardware. One distinct ruler is marked ”JOHN RABONE & SONS BIRM” (Birmingham), while another features the ”[STANLEY S.W.]” logo, ”Nº 53½, ” and ”MADE IN U.S.A.” One ruler includes a small brass attachment resembling a plumb bob or gauge. All rulers are marked with numeric scales, predominantly in inches. The largest folded ruler measures approximately 6 inches (15.2 cm) in length. The smallest folded ruler measures approximately 3 inches (7.6 cm) in length. The visible segments of the extended rulers are typically 6 inches (15.2 cm) or 12 inches (30.5 cm) long.
