A Pair of Vintage Flexible Flyer and Lightning Type Snow Sleds - A pair of vintage steering sleds, both primarily constructed from wooden slats for the deck, with red-painted metal runners and structural components, reflecting a classic utilitarian design. The smaller sled on the right features ”SPEED CLIFFERS” stenciled in faded blue paint on its central wooden deck slat, alongside faded red vertical stripes. A label affixed to its steering column identifies it as ”MODEL F021 FROM FLEXIBLE FLYER 400 LAKE ROAD MEDINA, OHIO 44256.” This sled has a natural-colored steering rope. The larger sled on the left, consistent with a 'Lightning Guide' type design, has ”Nelsa” handwritten on its wooden steering bar and features a red, white, and blue braided steering rope. Sleds are 54” and 45” long.
