A Sadler Light Blue Glazed Creamer and Teapot with Metallic Floral Decoration, England - A Sadler partial ceramic tea set, comprising a creamer and a teapot, made in England. Both pieces feature a light blue glazed body adorned with extensive metallic (gold-toned) floral decoration. They have applied metallic (silver-toned) handles, spouts, and footrings. The interior of the creamer and the exposed underside of both pieces reveal a speckled dark brown ceramic. The underside bears a printed manufacturer's mark with a crown above a banner reading ”SADLER” and ”MADE IN ENGLAND, ” accompanied by hand-painted numbers ”1556” and additional blue marks. Creamer height: 3.75 inches Teapot height: 4.75 inches Overall good apparent condition. Visible wear, tarnish, and scratching to the metallic overlays. Most notably, there is a chip to the spout of the teapot which exposes the underlying ceramic body.
