The grouping comprises predominantly small pitchers or jugs, accompanied by one large mug, a small footed cup, and a diminutive bowl. The vessels exhibit varied styles, with a prominent use of metallic lustre glazes in shades of copper, gold, and iridescent blue, often with contrasting pink interior rims. Specific designs include a stylized owl-motif jug, several items featuring blue bands with gold foliate or geometric patterns, a small jug decorated with a pink floral motif, and another with a distinct white granular texture on its lower body. A blue-speckled jug displays a black and white transferware scene of a horse-drawn carriage, while a small iridescent bowl features a distinct bubbly texture. Visible manufacturer's marks include 'OLD CASTLE MADE IN ENGLAND' with a castle motif on the blue-speckled jug, and 'LANCASTERS LTD HANLEY ENGLAND' with a crown emblem on a copper lustre jug. An impressed geometric mark is present on the base of the iridescent bowl. Height of tallest jug: 2.75 inches Height of smallest jug: 2.75 inches Generally good condition commensurate with age.
