A Group of Four Mara Mexico Stoneware Mugs, Coyote and Desert Designs - A group of four contemporary glazed stoneware mugs by Mara Mexico, each featuring distinct hand-painted or incised designs in a folk art style with Southwestern or Mexican influences. Three mugs are round with cylindrical bodies, while one has a rectangular cross-section. The decorative motifs include howling coyotes, cacti, and celestial elements such as a stylized bird, moon, and stars. One mug is marked ”2000” on its side. The undersides of three mugs are incised with ”DESIGN BY M. MARA MEXICO, ” while the rectangular mug bears a sticker marked ”HAND PAINTED MEXICO” and ”MADE IN MEXICO.” Height: Approximately 5 to 7 inches (12.7 to 17.8 cm) Diameter/Width: Approximately 3 to 3.5 inches (7.6 to 8.9 cm) Good overall condition, consistent with age and light use. No apparent chips, cracks, or repairs. Glazes are vibrant.
