A Collection of Six Talavera Mexican Pottery Gecko, Turtle, and Bird Figures - A collection of six hand-painted glazed ceramic items in the Talavera Mexican folk art style. The collection includes a large teal gecko/lizard, a smaller orange gecko/lizard, two green turtles (one solid and one lidded), a deep blue lidded turtle-shaped box, and a turquoise bird-shaped lidded box. Each piece features bold, multi-colored floral and abstract patterns. The underside of one green turtle is marked ”HECHO EN MEXICO” and ”LAURA.” The large teal gecko measures approximately 29 cm in length. The smaller orange gecko measures approximately 15 cm in length. The solid green turtle measures approximately 13 cm in length. The lidded green turtle measures approximately 13 cm in length. The deep blue lidded turtle-shaped box measures approximately 10 cm in length. The turquoise bird-shaped lidded box measures approximately 10 cm in length. Good overall condition. Glazes are bright and intact. The large gecko exhibits visible crazing. Minor surface wear consistent with age and display.
