A Group of Cleo Teissedre Handpainted Ceramic Tiles - A group of six Cleo Teissedre handpainted ceramic tiles, each featuring raised relief designs in a Southwestern/Native American aesthetic. The individual motifs depict a horseman in a desert landscape, an adobe pueblo scene with chili ristras and pottery, a buffalo skull with feathers, a still life of chili ristras and a cooking pot, a stylized ”Tree of Life” with birds, and a Kokopelli figure alongside ”GRAND CANYON” text. The tiles display vibrant, earthy color palettes and are marked on the front with artist signatures such as ”J Kuhne” and ”KEM, ” along with brand names like ”Teissedre” and ”GRAND CANYON.” The reverse of the tiles contains various labels from ”Earthtones, ” ”TEISSEDRE DESIGNS, INC., ” and ”HandMade, ” indicating manufacture in Tucson, AZ, USA, between 1990 and 1997, and intended use as coasters, trivets, or wall decor. Each tile measures approximately 6 x 6 inches. The collection appears to be in generally good condition with bright colors. No apparent significant damage, chips, or repairs.
