A Collection of S.R. Turov Hand-Painted Ceramic Folk Art Turtles - A collection of four hand-painted ceramic decorative turtle objects by S.R. Turov, California Art Ceramics, executed in a vibrant folk art style, reminiscent of traditional Mexican pottery. The group includes one large standing turtle figurine, featuring a black shell with a prominent blue and white flower, a yellow head, and a green body; one small orange turtle figurine with yellow and blue floral shell decoration; and two lidded turtle-form boxes. One lidded box is dark green with intricate white and yellow dotted patterns on its shell, while the other is smaller and black with scattered colorful floral designs. All pieces feature a glossy glaze and bright color palettes. The largest turtle bears a gold oval sticker reading ”HAND PAINTED S.R. TUROV CA. ART CERAMICS” and is signed ”Turov ©” on its underside; this ”Turov ©” signature is also visible on the underside of the larger green lidded box. Largest standing turtle: 6.5 in. (16.5 cm) long, 4.3 in. (11 cm) wide, 4.9 in. (12.5 cm) high. Orange turtle: 3.9 in. (10 cm) long, 3 in. (7.5 cm) wide, 1.6 in. (4 cm) high. Large green lidded box: 5.9 in. (15 cm) long, 3.5 in. (9 cm) wide, 2 in. (5 cm) high. Small black lidded box: 3.3 in. (8.5 cm) long, 2 in. (5 cm) wide, 1.4 in. (3.5 cm) high. Good overall condition free from breakage.
