A Collection of Six Blue Glass Items, Including Three Japanese Kiriko Style Overlay Tumblers and Rainbow Art Glass - A collection of six pieces of blue glass divided into two distinct groups. The first group consists of three cobalt blue overlay cut glass tumblers or whiskey glasses. These pieces are executed in a style consistent with Japanese Kiriko Garasu (faceted glass), featuring heavy cutting in a hobstar and diamond trellis pattern that exposes the clear glass layer beneath the blue casing. The second group is comprised of three pieces of medium blue American art glass. This group includes a free-form, multi-lobed bowl or ashtray; a small bell with a heart-shaped handle decorated with small white enamel dots; and a top-hat shaped vase or candle holder featuring an intentional controlled crackle finish. The hat-shaped item retains an oval paper label marked ”HAND BLOWN ST. RAINBOW / HUNTINGTON, W. VA. U.S.A.” Tumblers measure approximately 9 cm (3 1/2 inches) in height.
