Two Vintage Beverage Advertising Belt Buckles - A pair of vintage cast metal belt buckles featuring beverage advertising motifs. The first buckle is a rectangular Budweiser Lager Beer label design in relief with a brass-toned finish. The reverse is stamped Reproduced by arrangement with Anheuser-Busch Inc. and includes the code A-168. The second buckle features Ripple wine advertising with relief-molded fruit imagery and the text Serve Cold and Modesto, California. The reverse of the Ripple buckle bears the maker mark for Lewis Buckles Chicago. Both items are constructed with standard bar and hook hardware. Budweiser buckle: 3.75 x 2.25 inches Ripple buckle: 3.5 x 2.75 inches Both buckles exhibit an aged patina, surface wear, and varying degrees of oxidation consistent with age and use. The metal shows some pitting and discoloration. Hardware remains functional.
