Description:
Philco Model 42-1010 Art Deco Floor Console Radio
A mid-century Philco Model 42-1010 floor console radio. The unit features an Art Deco-style wooden cabinet with decorative veneer inlays and vertical front louvers. The control panel is equipped with a multi-band tuning dial for broadcast, shortwave, and police frequencies, complemented by four control knobs for volume, bass, treble, and tuning, alongside a row of station preset push-buttons. The interior contains original electronic components including several Philco Loktal vacuum tubes, a large electromagnetic speaker, and a transformer. Markings on the chassis indicate manufacture in the USA.
35"x 34" x 15"
Radio is untested.
The cabinet displays age-appropriate condition with visible scuffing, scratches, and minor veneer loss primarily along the base. Interior components show accumulated dust. The vintage electrical wiring shows fraying.
