Philco Model 37-10 Floor-Standing Radio Console - This Philco Model 37-10 (Code 121) floor-standing radio console was manufactured by the Philadelphia Storage Battery Co. circa 1937. The unit features a wooden-veneered cabinet designed in a late Art Deco style. The front facade houses an intricate multi-band tuning dial covering standard broadcast and shortwave frequencies, including designated bands for ship, amateur, and aircraft communication. The control interface consists of four knobs for tuning, volume, and tone. The internal components include a vacuum tube chassis and a speaker driver. Original manufacturer labels provide patent information and aerial connection instructions. 40”x 24.5” x 14.5” Radio powers on. The exterior cabinet displays age-appropriate wear, including surface scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish loss on the top and base. Internal components show significant accumulated dust.
