An Airline DeLuxe Model W-6 Battery-Operated Radio Receiver and Accessories - This early 20th-century battery-operated radio receiver was manufactured by the Tri-City Radio Electric Supply Co. as Model W-6 and distributed by Montgomery Ward & Co. under the Airline DeLuxe brand. The unit, identified by serial number 1972, is housed in a rectangular wooden cabinet with a hinged lid. The black front panel features three primary tuning dials, secondary control knobs, and two output jacks labeled Detector and 2-Stage. The interior assembly includes three vacuum tubes and green wire-wrapped coils. Internal paper labels provide a Battery Plan for Airline DeLuxe Radio Set and detailed battery connection instructions.
