Arvin Model 151-TC Table Radio and Phonograph Combination - An Arvin Model 151-TC table radio and phonograph combination manufactured by Noblitt-Sparks Industries Inc. of Columbus, Indiana, dating to circa the 1940s. The unit is housed in a curved wooden cabinet with a mahogany-finish veneer and features a maroon plastic front grille with coordinating control knobs. A brass-toned metal frame surrounds the AM radio dial, which is marked with frequencies from 54 to 160. The hinged top opens to reveal a single-play phonograph with a tan felt-covered turntable, a gold-toned tonearm, and an On/Off/Reject switch. An original manufacturer label on the reverse provides technical specifications for Chassis RE-228, and a paper insert on the underside provides service instructions for the dial lamp and tubes. 9.5 x 15 x 17 inches Powers on. Turntable did not turn. The piece shows visible age-related wear, including significant scuffing, scratches, and areas of peeling veneer on the cabinet.
