RCA Victor Model 1-T-5J Portable Superheterodyne Radio - This RCA Victor Model 1-T-5J is a portable superheterodyne radio manufactured by the Radio Corporation of America in Camden, New Jersey. The unit is constructed with a silver-tone metal and brown molded plastic housing and includes a top carrying handle. The front features a horizontal tuning dial for a frequency range of 540 to 1600 kilocycles and a slatted speaker grille with a gold-tone mesh insert. The rear panel displays an embossed company logo and a hinged compartment door for battery access. Internal labels specify the model number and serial number RVG 009513, stating the item was made in the U.S.A. Width: 10.5 inches Radio is untested. The radio is in fair vintage condition with visible surface scratches, minor scuffs, and light oxidation to the metal surfaces. The internal battery compartment shows some degradation of the foam lining. The handle has a crack in it, see pictures.
