Antique Oak Wall-Mounted Magneto Telephone Kellogg and Chicago Telephone Supply Co. - An antique wall-mounted magneto telephone featuring a rectangular oak cabinet with a shaped crest and base. The front panel is fitted with twin metal ringer bells and a central black mouthpiece embossed with the Kellogg name. A black receiver is suspended from a metal switch hook on the left side, connected by a fabric-wrapped cord. The right side of the cabinet features a metal hand-crank with a black handle. The interior houses a magneto assembly with a metal identification plate marked Chicago Telephone Supply Co. Elkhart, Ind. U.S.A. The cabinet shows a natural wood grain with a dark finish. Height: 25 inches The telephone exhibits signs of age and use consistent with its period. The oak cabinet shows surface scratches, finish wear, and several small mounting holes. The fabric-wrapped receiver cord is significantly frayed with exposed wiring. Metal components, including the bells and crank, show tarnish and surface oxidation. Missing the shelf.
