Philco Model 37-61F Art Deco Console Radio, circa 1937 - This item is located on the second floor. A Philco Model 37-61F Art Deco floor console vacuum tube radio, manufactured circa 1937. The cabinet is constructed of wood with decorative veneers and features a vertical orientation. The front panel contains a circular tuning dial with a red-illuminated background, a stylized globe motif, and categorized labels for Music, News, Drama, Comedy, Sports, and Education. Four black control knobs are arranged in a row below the dial. The lower portion of the cabinet features an ornate, four-lobed wood cutout speaker grille backed by patterned fabric. The open back reveals the internal metal chassis, multiple vacuum tubes, a transformer, and an integrated speaker. 37 x 22 x 10.5 inches The wood cabinet displays minor surface scratches and light wear consistent with age and use. The patterned speaker fabric appears intact. Internal electronics are untested. Powers on.
