Philco Model 60 or 505 Console Radio, circa 1933 - This item is located on the second floor. A Philco Model 60 or 505 floor-standing console radio, manufactured by the Philco Radio and Television Corporation. The unit features a wooden cabinet with decorative fluted pilasters and an arched center section. The front panel includes four black hexagonal control knobs situated above an ornate wood-cut fretwork grille. Behind the grille is a patterned fabric speaker cover. The cabinet is supported by four turned legs connected by an H-stretcher base. Internal components consist of a superheterodyne chassis with glass vacuum tubes and a metal speaker housing. Original paper labels identifying the model and tube layout are affixed to the interior. 39 1/4 x 23 1/2 x 12 inches The item exhibits age-appropriate wear throughout. Visible surface scratches and scuffs are present on the wood finish, particularly along the edges and corners. Internal electronic components show accumulated dust. The unit is sold in as-is condition; the functionality of the radio and internal electronics has not been tested.
