Philco Model 624 Console Radio - This item is located on the second floor. The Art Deco style cabinet is constructed of wood featuring multi-toned veneers and ribbed side columns. The front facade includes a central control panel with an oval dial window and four black knobs. Below the controls, a speaker aperture is protected by three vertical wooden slats over a patterned grill cloth. The reverse reveals a metal chassis containing vacuum tubes and original manufacturer labels. One label identifies the unit as Philco 624, Code 121, Battery Operated, 6 Volts. Handwritten service notes are visible on the internal metal housing. 39 1/4 x 24 3/4 x 11 1/4 inches The radio is in fair condition. The wooden cabinet shows significant finish loss on the top and sides, along with surface scuffs and scratches consistent with age. There is minor veneer loss at the base. Internal metal components exhibit oxidation. The grill cloth remains intact but shows age-related wear. The unit is untested.
