Sparton Radio and Phonograph Console Model 1037 - This item is located on the second floor. A mid-20th century radio and phonograph console manufactured by The Sparks-Withington Company of Jackson, Michigan. The dark-stained wood cabinet features a traditional design with two faux drawer fronts at the top, accented by oval metal pulls, and two lower speaker grilles with a diamond lattice-patterned fabric. The unit contains a tube-powered radio identified as A.C. Receiver Model 1037 with a Type 9L8 chassis. The phonograph features a maroon felt-covered turntable. Both components are revealed by sliding out the top front panels. The original instruction envelope from the manufacturer is included. 33.5 inches wide, 16.25 inches deep, 32.75 inches high. Fair. The wood finish shows visible surface scratches, scuffs, and wear, particularly on the top surface. Condition is consistent with age and use. Untested.
