Zenith Model 6-S-152 Art Deco Console Radio - This item is located on the second floor. Zenith Model 6-S-152 Art Deco console radio, circa 1937. The wood cabinet features rounded shoulders and a tiered top. The front panel is dominated by a large circular shutter tuning dial protected by glass, marked Zenith and Long Distance, with multiple frequency scales for standard broadcast, foreign, police, amateur, and aviation bands. Four control knobs are positioned around the dial area. The lower section consists of a patterned fabric speaker grille set behind three vertical wooden slats, all resting on a black-painted base. The open back reveals the internal metal chassis with multiple vacuum tubes, a power transformer, and an internal speaker featuring a Zenith-labeled output transformer. Visible markings include a manufacturer serial number plate on the chassis and a service sticker from Lees Radio Antique Radio Service. 40 x 24 x 12 inches The item shows age-appropriate wear, including surface scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish degradation on the wood cabinet.
