Various American Manufacturers, Collection of Seven Vintage Glass Marbles, Swirl and Opaque Patterns, mid-20th Century - This lot consists of a curated collection of seven vintage glass marbles, representing various styles and manufacturing techniques common in the mid-20th century. The assortment includes a striking red, orange, and yellow multi-color swirl; a classic orange and white slag-style swirl; and five marbles in diverse shades of green, ranging from bright opaque lime to a translucent teal with subtle internal banding. These specimens are characteristic of the output from prominent American glass houses such as Akro Agate, Peltier, or Vitro Agate. The marbles are machine-made and feature the vibrant pigments and internal structures prized by collectors of vintage toys. Measurements range from approximately 0.499 inches to 0.618 inches in diameter. The collection is in good vintage condition. Several pieces exhibit minor surface wear, including light scuffing and small ”flea bites” consistent with age and typical use. Internal air bubbles are visible in some specimens, which are original to the manufacturing process. There are no major chips or structural fractures.
