Akro Agate and Assorted Makers, Vintage Glass Marble Collection, Greenies and Multi-Color Swirls, mid-20th Century - This collection features a diverse assortment of 15 machine-made glass marbles, primarily attributed to the Akro Agate Company and other mid-century American manufacturers. The lot includes several classic Greenies, characterized by an opaque white base with vibrant green swirls, as well as transparent green slags, cat's eyes, and multi-colored patch marbles in shades of teal, yellow, and blue. These specimens represent the golden age of American glass marble production, likely dating from the 1930s through the 1960s. The collection includes both standard player sizes and larger shooters. Measurements: Diameters range from 0.556 inches to 0.684 inches. The marbles are in good vintage condition, exhibiting characteristics of age and light play. Minor surface scuffing, small pits, and occasional flea bites are present on several pieces. The glass retains good clarity and color saturation. No cracks or large chips were observed during inspection.
