Vitro Agate and Jabo, Vintage Glass Marbles, Cat's Eye and Hybrid Swirl Patterns, Mid-20th Century - This collection of machine-made glass marbles features a variety of classic patterns attributed to the Vitro Agate Company and Jabo. The lot includes two distinct groups: one featuring light blue, white, and translucent green swirls, and another displaying vibrant orange, red, and blue cat's eye patterns on clear and opaque white bases. These examples are characteristic of mid-century American marble production, showcasing the hybrid swirl and multi-vane cat's eye styles. The glass construction includes typical internal seed bubbles formed during the manufacturing process. Average diameters range from 0.606 to 0.626 inches. The marbles are in good overall condition with smooth, lustrous surfaces. No major chips, fractures, or significant surface wear are observed. Minor internal seed bubbles are present as a result of the original cooling process.
