Collection of Vintage Vitro Agate and Assorted Glass Marbles, Cat's Eye and Swirl Patterns, mid-20th Century - This diverse collection features an assortment of vintage machine-made glass marbles, primarily dating from the mid-20th century. The lot includes a variety of styles such as ”Cat's Eye” marbles, characterized by their internal multi-vane filaments in vibrant blue, orange, and red hues, consistent with production by Vitro Agate or Japanese manufacturers. Also present are opaque swirl marbles in blue-and-white and yellow-and-white colorways, solid-colored game marbles in light green and yellow, and clear glass examples featuring internal seeded air bubbles. The marbles are constructed of machine-rolled glass and represent classic mid-century toy production. Diameters range from approximately 0.487 inches to 0.629 inches. The collection is in good vintage condition. Visual inspection reveals typical signs of age and play wear, including minor surface scuffs and small ”flea bites” on select pieces. Some marbles exhibit internal fractures or ”moons” which are common in vintage glass toys. No significant structural damage or large chips were observed.
